What happened to you and me?
What took us over the edge?
Sometimes I don't know
if I still want to wear this badge

Sometimes it's you
Sometimes it's me
There are times that I can't even see
who's hurting who(m)

Through all the years
You at my side
was what kept me sane

We could read each others mind
and feel each others pain

We're friends
We're partners

Now we're two burned out cops
Trying to hold on to what we once had
Because something has happened to you and me
Somewhere along the way
we lost me and thee
