Goodbye Daddy

The fair-haired boy was driven by his anger

His fear made him go on

to reach his highest goal in life

to be his father's wonderful son

Never was his father happy

It never seemed enough

He always wanted more

So

the little boy kept on trying

more determined than before

to do whatever it took

to be his father's wonderful son

Again

his father wasn't happy

He never spoke a word of love

because to him, love was something,

the boy wasn't worthy of

The little boy grew up

and became a smart but lonely young man

He told his dad goodbye

Then

he moved to the West Coast

To be the best cop he could be

At his side stood his partner

Teamed up as ‘Me and Thee’
